Weave on a Frame Loom

  • Bok Bar 800 Mifflin Street Philadelphia, PA, 19148 United States (map)

Have you always wanted to learn to weave? Now you can! Grab a friend and learn to loom with a view.

During this 1.5-hour workshop you’ll learn the basics of weaving: how to warp and weave on a small frame loom, finishing your weaving and taking it off the loom, and tips & tricks for future projects. Walk away with a small weaving – loom and materials are included, and the loom is yours to keep after the workshop! No previous weaving experience is necessary

Weaver House is a yarn shop, textile studio and weaving school founded to inspire communal collaboration, weaving education and creative gathering. They teach mindfulness and mediation throughout all of workshops, and believe that weaving can be therapeutic and healing. Their shop is located in space 203 of the Bok Building, and they're open for in-person shopping every Tuesday from 12-6pm. Learn more here.

Your ticket doubles as a reservation at Bok Bar from 2pm-3:50pm. Attendees can order food and drink a la carte. This event will be postponed in inclement weather.
