We live in a city where only 2.5% of businesses are Black-owned when the majority population is Black. We know that Black businesses are abundant here, but many don't make it past the early stages. Building Black will examine this by showcasing a panel featuring a few creative Black businesses who are also tenants at Bok. Building Black's topics will focus on creative entrepreneurship, building your business, and scaling up. At the end, Attendees will also get the opportunity to ask their own questions, then stay for a happy hour. CADO is an experiential art fair and makers market, highlighting the Philadelphia region’s Black artists, small businesses, and makers. Curated by Debora Charmelus, this holiday market serves as an incubator and allows creatives from across the region to meet, support, and discover Black-owned or led brands.
